CMMC CON 2023 - Strive to Thrive - Sashi Chandrasekharan + Eric Liebowitz Announcement

CIO / CISO Panel at CMMC CON 2023 to Discuss Intersection of IT and Security

Security initiatives aren’t as easy as a rubber-stamp process where the board quickly approves funds without questions. Programs like Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 are integral to a company’s ability to contract with the federal government and help protect our nation’s secrets. But the board has to recognize that importance.

So how do compliance efforts get approved? How should companies approach their boards when they seek approval? A discussion at CMMC CON 2023 will highlight those conversations and where security stands in the broader IT landscape.

Sashi Chandrasekharan, CIO at Stellant Systems, and Eric Liebowitz, CISO at Thales North America, will sit on a panel moderated by Eric Noonan, CEO and Founder of CyberSheath, to discuss the dynamic between security, IT departments, and boards of directors.

Chandrasekharan has 26 years of experience in manufacturing organizations and served as Director of Digital and IT at Parker Hannifin and Leader of Digital CX and Data Analytics for Aerospace Group. His IT leadership has required him to face compliance requirements and deliver solutions that align with broader company goals.

Liebowitz has spent nearly two decades in the cybersecurity space, including experience building and maturing information security programs for large financial services and technology organizations. He holds CISSP, CISA, and CISM certifications and is a member of ISACA National DC chapter and ISC2.

These C-suite executives will speak to the breadth of cybersecurity’s impact within an organization, how IT and security can work together, and what goes into getting boards of directors … well … on board. Register for CMMC CON 2023 to sit in on the discussion.
