- Emil Sayegh, CyberSheath CEO
CMMC Phase 2 Is Coming. Will You Be Ready?
Third-party CMMC assessments become mandatory for many defense contractors beginning Nov. 10, 2026. For organizations that haven't started preparing, the window to achieve certification is shrinking fast.
CyberSheath's free Defense Contractor Cybersecurity Compliance Training Program was built to help contractors move from uncertainty to audit readiness with a clear, proven path to compliance. Now entering its fifth year, the program has helped hundreds of defense contractors understand, implement, and manage the requirements needed to protect CUI and meet Department of Defense cybersecurity expectations.
During this training you'll learn:
What does the CMMC 2.0 training cover?
Unlike traditional compliance training, the Defense Contractor Cybersecurity Compliance Training Program focuses on execution. The training includes three intensive courses built around CyberSheath's proven AIM methodology: Assess, Implement, and Manage. Led by Casey Lang, CyberSheath’s Senior Vice President of Compliance, the streamlined program eliminates theoretical discussions in favor of hands-on guidance.
Participants advance through three belt levels on their path to compliance mastery:
-
-
- White Belt – Assess: Understanding your current security posture and mapping compliance gaps
- Blue Belt – Implement: Building and deploying effective security controls
- Black Belt – Manage: Maintaining ongoing compliance and assessment readiness
-
By the end of the program, you'll have the practical skills, proven framework, and confidence needed to navigate the evolving CMMC landscape and face your assessment with the focus and precision of a compliance ninja.
New for 2026: Inside the CMMC Assessment Process
One of the biggest challenges contractors' face is understanding what happens once an assessment begins. That's why this year's program includes a bonus assessment-readiness session led by Fernando Machado, Managing Principal and Chief Information Security Officer at Cybersec Investments and one of the industry's most experienced CMMC assessors. Participants will gain practical guidance on the assessment lifecycle, evidence calibration, common contractor mistakes, and best practices for engaging with assessors.
Training Schedule
There is a total of 4 courses. One course will be released via email each Monday starting on Jul 20 at 9AM ET.
The content-rich courses are about 45 min - 1 hour each and are self-paced.
