Microsoft Panel -- CMMC CON 2025 Speaker Announcement

Microsoft Panel to Share Examples How Artificial Intelligence Can Accelerate CMMC Compliance at CMMC CON 2025

Defense contractors are focused on making quality parts and meeting delivery schedules. Cybersecurity has always been something that happened to other sectors. With CMMC implementation starting fall 2025, even small manufacturers must demonstrate sophisticated cyber defenses to keep their DOD contracts. Artificial intelligence is emerging as the solution that can make these requirements manageable for organizations with limited resources.

Three Microsoft experts will demonstrate how AI can transform cybersecurity compliance from a resource strain into a strategic advantage during CMMC CON 2025 on Sept. 24-25. Their session, “The AI Advantage: Unleashing Human Potential in Defense,” will show contractors practical ways to deploy AI-powered tools that streamline compliance while strengthening defenses.

Manny Sahota, Director, Head of Global Regulatory Strategy, brings expertise in helping organizations meet complex regulatory requirements. Justin Orcutt, Director of Cybersecurity, specializes in implementing security solutions for enterprise environments. Troy Arwine, Principal Solution Engineer, Defense Industrial Base, rounds out the panel with specific DIB cybersecurity expertise running security operation centers and national security programs.

The panel will address a critical challenge many contractors face: achieving CMMC compliance without overwhelming limited cybersecurity teams. Microsoft data shows that organizations using Security Copilot report 40% faster incident response times and significantly improved threat detection capabilities.

Microsoft’s approach centers on AI empowerment based on a solid cyber foundation. The session will cover Microsoft 365 Copilot for productivity enhancement, Security Copilot for threat analysis, and specialized AI agents that automate routine compliance tasks. Attendees will see examples covering access management, device compliance monitoring, threat hunting, and incident documentation.

For DIB contractors, the presentation will share strategies and approaches on how AI can help smaller organizations achieve enterprise-level security capabilities. Automated compliance monitoring, AI-assisted policy management, and intelligent threat detection can level the playing field against well-resourced adversaries while reducing manual compliance efforts. The Microsoft team will provide actionable strategies for integrating AI into cybersecurity programs and specific guidance on tools that can accelerate the path to certification.
