CyberSheath Panel - CMMC CON 2025 - Speaker Announcement

CyberSheath Experts Share Real Stories from CMMC Implementations at CMMC CON 2025

On July 23, the Department of Defense sent CFR 48 to the Office of Management and Budget for review, the final regulatory step before CMMC becomes required for virtually all DOD contracts starting Oct. 1, 2025. With the 60-day review window now ticking, defense contractors can no longer treat CMMC as a future concern.

Most contractors are still flying blind when it comes to what actually happens during CMMC implementations. They know they need to be compliant, but they have no idea what roadblocks await them, which mistakes derail projects, or what separates successful certifications from failed attempts.

Three CyberSheath experts are pulling back the curtain at CMMC CON 2025 on Sept. 24-25 in a session titled “CMMC Confessions: Real Stories from the Trenches.” Our experts will share unfiltered insights from actual client engagements — the surprising challenges, common misconceptions, and critical lessons learned from guiding contractors through CMMC certification.

Rich Baron, Vice President of Service Delivery, will join Zach Curley, Compliance Analyst, and Andrew Zoppi, Director of Compliance, in a candid discussion moderated by CEO Eric Noonan. The roundtable will give contractors an inside look at implementing NIST SP 800-171 controls and preparing for CMMC assessments.

The panel will address four critical areas based on real client experiences: foundational challenges that catch organizations off guard, process and implementation hurdles that extend timelines, communication strategies that keep teams motivated when CMMC feels overwhelming, and proven approaches that lead to successful certifications.

With CMMC assessments already underway, and contract requirements starting this fall, contractors need insights from practitioners who’ve been through the process. The organizations that understand what to expect will move through certification smoothly. Those caught off guard will face delays, additional costs, and potential contract losses.

This is your chance to learn from other contractors’ experiences before your organization goes through the process. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what to expect, which pitfalls to avoid, and actionable strategies based on real-world implementations. Register for CMMC CON 2025 to get the inside perspective on CMMC implementations that you can’t find anywhere else. Your certification timeline and project success depend on understanding what really happens in the field.
