Dr. Robert Spalding Returns to CMMC CON to Speak on Threat Landscape

Even former Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) director Chris Krebs feels the pain of contractors in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).

“It’s still difficult to work with the U.S. government,” Krebs said during a keynote at Black Hat 2022.

Contractors are looking for answers to how they can harden their security posture and be compliant to win new contracts as nation-state attacks pick up, hackers evolve, and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program moves closer to CMMC 2.0. To help make sense of the threat landscape, Dr. Robert Spalding will return to CMMC CON and share his perspective with attendees. He spoke at each of the first two CMMC CON events and was one of the most popular speakers.

Dr. Spalding is a retired Brigadier General with the United States Air Force and currently serves as the CEO of SEMPRE.ai, which secures America’s critical infrastructure. He previously served as senior director at the White House National Security Council and has held senior leadership positions within the Defense and State Departments for more than 26 years.
