Even though Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 has been in the works for more than a year, many small businesses still have questions. The answers typically aren’t mysteries that require organizations to pause their compliance journeys. There’s plenty we already know about the standards that Defense Industrial Base (DIB) contractors will have to meet when the final rule is instituted.
For a fourth straight year, CyberSheath is offering a free, six-course training program to help contractors better understand and prepare for CMMC compliance. Those who complete the “ninja training” will earn a black belt and be honored in a ceremony at CMMC CON 2024 on Sept. 25, 2024.
Contracting with the Department of Defense (DOD) is a matter of national security, and you need to know how to handle controlled unclassified information (CUI) and other sensitive data properly. The program’s curriculum will offer resources and tools that clearly explain the policies and laws behind CMMC 2.0.
Each of the six courses will be followed by a 10-minute exam and the opportunity to earn a belt by becoming a “ninja” on each of the following topics:
- How to identify CUI
- What is scoping and why should you worry about it?
- How to conduct an assessment
- Step-by-step guide for Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) submittal
- How to draft an audit-ready system security plan (SSP) and plan of action and milestones (POAM)
- **Updated** How to strategically address implementation and managed compliance
Registration for the training course is open through June 30th. Sign up today!
