CyberSheath is excited to release the findings from the first-ever comprehensive, independent study of the DIB's CMMC compliance efforts conducted by Merrill Research.
The survey data of 300 U.S.-based Department of Defense (DOD) contractors was tested at the 95% confidence level, meaning that there is a 95% probability that significant differences are real and are not due to sampling error. The study was completed in July and August 2022, with CMMC 2.0 on the horizon.

Eric Noonan is a respected cybersecurity expert having testified before the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities and served on the Council on Cyber Security expert panel to review and update the Critical Security Controls. Prior to founding CyberSheath, Eric was the Global Chief Information Security Officer for BAE Systems plc, based in London. Concurrently Eric served as Vice President and General Manager of North American IT operations, overseeing engineering, architecture, and IT operations support for approximately 39,000 employees.

Carl Herberger is responsible for the general management, go-to-market strategies, service delivery, and day-to-day operational excellence of the company’s CMMC Compliance-as-a-Service business line. Mr. Herberger is the recipient of the ”Technology Executive of the Year” award from Industry Era Magazine (2019) and considered a foremost expert on cybersecurity threats and solutions. Before joining Cybersheath, Carl was the COO of Kivu Consulting where he lead the day-to-day operations of a $30M+ cybersecurity company focused on servicing the cyber-insurance industry.
